23-26 August 2009/ Eilat Harbor.    Read Sea Jazz Festival

The Red Sea Jazz Festival (RSJF) was launched in 1987 as a four day international jazz festival with 9 concerts per evening, 6 clinics with guest artists and nightly Jam sessions. The festival is held yearly in the last week of August, between Sunday to Wednesday. RSJF strives to introduce to the public the broadest possible musical spectrum, from New Orleans jazz to the contemporary, including Latin and World music. The festival presents guest groups from all around the globe plus Israeli top groups. RSJF is also active in the jazz education field in Israel, promoting original jazz compositions and youth jazz bands.

This year festival is similar yet different from the previous ones following the tradition of hosting world top notch jazz performers but also headlining young artists and Israeli groups. New venues and schedules mark a change as well.

Every evening will start at 19:00 with an open concert featuring the best Israeli young jazz groups. During four days, the festival will feature 3 different concerts in each of the halls, performed by 22 groups 11 international and 11 Israeli participating in the festival.

The concerts will be held in three venues: a new JAZZ CLUB of 1,000 seats around tables serving food and beverage, the HALL with 2,000 regular seats and the biggest ARENA with 4,000 seats, some arranged gradually overlooking the Red Sea.

The concerts schedule allows attending every day up to 4 performances out of 9.

The tickets have been adjusted as well. The "Golden jazz" will be replaced by the Wide PASS allowing 4-day admission to the two big halls and to the club on an availability basis. Daily PASS and single tickets for each concert will be available as well as "White night" tickets including a round trip flight and entrance to all concerts and jam session on the night chosen. The youngsters, honor guests of the festival, remain with their bracelet allowing free admission to all concerts on availability basis.

This year the festival introduces also a VIP ticket including a reserved seat in each of the halls, separate entrance and a VIP air-conditioned area for hanging out in between concerts.

The Eilat Port is waiting for you again, music lovers in Israel, to celebrate the end of summer vacation with a lot of good music and pleasant ambiance complemented by encounters with friends and top musicians fro Israel and abroad.

The Red Sea during the day and the Eilat Port at night what could be better?

Every night till dawn, the traditional jam session around the pool at Isrotel Yam Suf.
